I am a watercolor artist currently living in North Dakota with my husband and 4 children. I have been creating art most of my life, beginning with pencil drawing, experimenting with acrylics, oils and more, until finally falling in love with watercolor.

5 Fun Facts About Me

1. When I was younger, I wanted to be a singer. I loved to sing, but I am also fairly introverted and would not have done well being the center of attention. I still enjoy singing around the house when I'm cleaning, much to the dismay of my family!

2. My favorite season is fall, because I love the changing colors! I joke that my favorite color is fall, because I love all the colors of the season. Mustard yellow, olive green, rust orange, burgundy, etc. When I'm out shopping, I am always drawn to those colors.

3. When I was younger, I entered a contest for a stuffed tiger signed by the members of N'SYNC. I had to draw a white tiger, and I won! It was the first art contest I entered, and as a huge N'SYNC fan at the time, I was ecstatic to win!

4. I spent several years of my early childhood living in Turkey, when my Dad was in the military. We were actually evacuated from there during the Persian Gulf War. I was young and don't remember a lot, but we still make Grape Leaves and Borek based on a recipe my Mom learned from a Turkish woman while we lived there.

5. I love to read. Aside from painting and art related hobbies, I spend a lot of my free time reading. When I was younger, one of my favorite books was The Long Night, a novel about the Titanic, by Diane Hoh. I read it so many times that the book started to fall apart. I recently found the book on the kindle, and my oldest daughter just read it! She enjoyed it too!
